Anunciada la publicación de la primera novela de Tlotlo Tsamaase

Erewhon ha anunciado la adquisición de los derechos de publicación de Womb City, la primera novela larga de Tlotlo Tsamaase.

Esta es la sinopsis de la novela:

A feminist horror novel set in a futuristic Botswana where citizens’ consciousnesses can be implanted into available, microchipped bodies, in which a woman commits a desperate murder to save herself and her unborn child. She must prevent the victim’s vengeful ghost from killing everyone she loves even as she must outrun a watchful government that would sacrifice her to preserve the secrets she’s unwittingly unearthed.

Erewhon Books publicará Lonely Castle in the Mirror

Erewhon ha anunciado la publicación el 18 de octubre de su traducción al inglés de Lonely Castle in the Mirror, de Mizuki Tsujimura. El traductor ha sido Philip Gabriel.

A new transfer student has started at our school, and everyone wants to be friends with them. The most cheerful, kind and athletic person in our class. And smart, too. Tor.com publicará The Butcher of the Forest

Tor.com ha adquirido los derechos de publicación de The Butcher of the Forest, una novela corta de Premee Mohamed, que se publicará en el 2024.

Esta es la sinopsis:

A world-weary woman races against the clock to rescue the children of a wrathful tyrant from a dangerous, otherworldly forest.

At the northern edge of a land ruled by a monstrous, foreign tyrant lies the wild forest known as the Elmever. The villagers know better than to let their children go near—once someone goes in, they never come back out.

No one knows the strange and terrifying traps of the Elmever better than Veris Thorn, the only person to ever rescue a child from the forest many years ago. When the Tyrant’s two young children go missing, Veris is commanded to enter the forest once more and bring them home safe. If Veris fails, the Tyrant will kill her; if she remains in the forest for longer than a day, she will be trapped forevermore.

So Veris will travel deep into the Elmever to face traps, riddles, and monsters at the behest of another monster. One misstep will cost everything.
