R.S.A. Garcia gana el premio Sturgeon 2024

El jurado de este año del premio Sturgeon formado por Elizabeth Bear, Kelly Link, Sarah Pinsker, Noël Sturgeon y Taryne Taylor, ha fallado a favor de R.S.A. Garcia con su relato “Tantie Merle and the Farmhand 4200”.

El premio se estableció en 1987 como un memorial a uno de los mejores escritores de relatos cortos en un género especialmente conocido por sus relatos cortos como es la ciencia ficción.

El segundo lugar fue para “Patsy Cline Sings Sweet Dreams to the Universe” de Beston Barnett y el tercero para “The Year Without Sunshine“ de Naomi Kritzer.

Se ha dado a conocer el ganador del premio Arthur C. Clarke de este año, ha sido In Ascension de Martin MacInnes, de la que ya hablamos en el blog.

Bethany Jacobs gana el Philip K Dick con These Burning Stars

Se ha anunciado la ganadora del premio Philip K Dick de este año, Bethany Jacobs con These Burning Stars, con mención especial del jurado para The Museum of Human History de Rebekah Bergman.

Recordemos que el premio reconoce a la ciencia ficción publicada originalmente en rústica en Estados Unidos y que está esponsorizado por la Philadelphia Science Fiction Society.

El jurado este año lo han formado: Nicky Drayden, Gordon Eklund, Christopher Rowe, Kali Wallace y Lisa Yaszek.
