Angry Robot publicará una nueva duología fantástica de Jeff Noon y Steve Beard

Angry Robot publicará en febrero de 2024 Gogmagog, la primera entrega de una nueva serie de los escritores Jeff Noon y Steve Beard. La segunda y última entrega de la serie estará disponible en noviembre del mismo año y se titulará Ludluda.

Anunciada la publicación de The History Of The World Begins In Ice

Kate Elliott ha anunciado la publicación de The History Of The World Begins In Ice: Stories and Essays from the World of Cold Magic, una colección de relatos y ensayos enmarcados en su universo Spiritwalker. Lo publicará Fairwood Press en verano del año que viene.

Según la propia autora, el universo Spiritwalker es un icepunk afrocelta postromano, situado en una fantasía alternativa basada en la Tierra en el siglo XIX. Este universo, por si os parecía poco incluye espías fenicios, hombres bien vestidos, mujeres de mente revolucionaria y dinosaurios abogados.

La colección tendrá edición en rústica y en formato electrónico. Contendrá once historias de las cuales dos son inéditas y once ensayos, así como una introducción de N.K. Jemisin.

Ya sabemos cómo será la cubierta de la nueva novela de Robert Jackson Bennett, titulada The Tainted Cup, que Del Rey publicará en febrero del año que viene.

Esta es la sinopsis:

In Daretana’s greatest mansion, a high Imperial officer lies dead—killed, to all appearances, when a tree spontaneously erupted from his body. Even here at the Empire’s borders, where contagions abound and the blood of the Leviathans works strange magical changes, it’s a death both terrifying and impossible. 

Assigned to investigate is Ana Dolabra, a detective whose reputation for brilliance is matched only by her eccentricities. Rumor has it that she wears a blindfold at all times—and that she can solve impossible cases without even stepping outside the walls of her home.

At her side is her new assistant, Dinios Kol. Din is an engraver, magically altered in ways that make him the perfect aide to Ana’s brilliance.

Erewhon publicará The Eyes Are The Best Part

Erewhon Books ha anunciado la publicación, en verano del año que viene, de The Eyes Are The Best Part, la primera novela de Monika Kim.

Esta es la sinopsis:

Ji-won’s life tumbles into disarray in the wake of her Appa’s extramarital affair and subsequent departure. Her mother, distraught. Her younger sister, hurt and confused. Her college freshman grades, failing. Her dreams, horrifying… yet enticing. 

In them, Ji-won walks through bloody rooms full of eyes. Succulent blue eyes. Salivatingly blue eyes. Eyes the same shape and shade as George’s, who is Umma’s obnoxious new boyfriend. George has already overstayed his welcome in her family’s claustrophobic apartment.
