Lecturas de ciencia ficción y fantasía
En octubre de 2020 verá la luz Ministry for the Future, la nueva y esperadísima novela de Kim Stanley Robinson.
Según palabras del propio autor, se trata de una descripción de los próximos 30 años basándose en los datos actuales, por lo que es una de las utopías más oscuras jamás escritas.

Siempre son buenas noticias cuando se anuncia una nueva publicación de KJ Parker, así que me ha faltado tiempo para traeros la que será portada de How to Rule an Empire and Get Away With It. El diseño, que sigue el que ya se utilizó para 16 Ways to Defend a Walled City, situada en el mismo universo, es obra de Lauren Panepinto.

Tor.com ha anunciado la publicación en marzo del año que viene de Light Chaser, una novela corta escrita a cuatro manos por Gareth L. Powell y Peter F. Hamilton. No sé vosotros, pero yo ardo en deseos de saber qué han inventado estos dos grandes escritores, que son muy de mi gusto. De momento, aquí os dejo la sinopsis:
Light Chaser tells the story of Amahle—one of a number of explorers, who travel the universe alone (except for their onboard AI), trading trinkets for life stories.
But Amahle notices that the worlds she visits don’t appear to be evolving—the level of technical sophistication they demonstrate does not increase, no matter how many hundreds of years pass between her visits.
And when she listens to the stories sent down through the ages she hears the same voice talking directly to her from different times and on different worlds, and comes to understand that something terrible is happening, and only she is in a position to do anything about it.

¡Hola! Soy Leticia Lara. Quizá me recuerden de otros anuncios de publicaciones nuevas de Adrian Tchaikovsky. Tal vez les sorprenda saber que este blog todavía no se ha convertido en un monográfico sobre el autor, pero no es algo que se descarte.

Subterranean Press ha anunciado una nueva novela corta de Greg Egan, que tendrá por título Dispersion.
