Según podemos leer en Deadline, Bradley Cooper, Graham King y Todd Phillips estarían desarrollando junto a SyFy una serie basada en Hyperion de Dan Simmons.
Cooper, gran fan de los libros originales, afirma:
“It is an absolute honor to enter into the world created by Dan Simmons that is arguably one of the greatest works of science fiction, and help realize it for television audiences,”
Parece que SyFy se está poniendo las pilas en cuanto al desarrollo de series propias, ya que ha anunciado The Magicians, basada en los libros de Lev Grossman; The Expanse, prevista para diciembre de este año; Childhood’s End, también en diciembre; Brave New World con Amblin Television; una precuela de Superman llamada Krypton; y Incorporated, un drama de espionaje futurista de Matt Damon y Ben Affleck.

Según podemos leer en Screendaily, un grupo inversor chino (C2M Media Group) cofinanciará la producción de la adaptación cinematográfica de Neuromante.
El productor Lucas Foster está buscando director y guionistas para la adaptación. Según sus propias palabras:
William Gibson’s books have been very prescient on the topic of Super Intelligence, which people variously call Machine Intelligence or A.I. As we surrender more and more of our thinking and imagining over to software, we lose something important and tangible in ourselves. Neuromancer tells the story of that (near) future.
No sé qué esperar de todo esto.
