Despu\u00e9s de la publicaci\u00f3n de la entretenida Embers of War<\/strong><\/em>, Gareth L Powell vuelve al mismo universo con la segunda entrega de la historia<\/a>, titulada Fleet of Knives.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>La editorial que lo publica es Titan Books.<\/p>\n

La sinopsis es bastante atractiva:<\/p>\n

The former warship Trouble Dog and her crew of misfits is called upon by the House of Reclamation to investigate a distress call from the human starship the Lucy\u2019s Ghost. Her crew abandon their crippled ship and seek refuge abroad an abandoned, slower-than-light generation ship launched ten thousand years before by an alien race. However, the enormous ship contains deadly secrets of its own.<\/p>\n

Recovered war criminal, Ona Sudak, faces a firing squad for her actions in the Archipelago War. But, at the last moment, she is smuggled out of her high security prison. The Marble Armada has called for her to accompany its ships as observer and liaison, as it spreads itself across the human Generality, enforcing the peace at all costs. The alien ships will not tolerate resistance, and all dissenters are met with overwhelming and implacable force. Then her vessel intercepts messages from the House of Reclamation and decides the Trouble Dog has a capacity for violence which cannot be allowed to endure.<\/p>\n

As the Trouble Dog and her crew fight to save the crew of the Lucy\u2019s Ghost, the ship finds herself caught between chaotic alien monsters on one side, and on the other, destruction at the hands of the Marble Armada.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

A la antigua nave de guerra\u00a0Trouble Dog y su tripulaci\u00f3n de inadaptados le encarga la\u00a0House of Reclamation investigar una llamada de socorro de una nave espacial humana, llamada\u00a0Lucy\u2019s Ghost. La tripulaci\u00f3n abandon\u00f3 la destrozada nave\u00a0 y busc\u00f3 refugio en una abandonada nave generacional sin capacidad FTL que una raza alien\u00edgena lanz\u00f3 hace 10000 a\u00f1os. No obstante, esta enorme nave contiene secretos mortales propios.<\/p>\n

La antigua criminal de guerra,\u00a0Ona Sudak, se enfrenta a un pelot\u00f3n de fusilamiento por sus acciones en la guerra Archipelago. Pero, en el \u00faltimo momento, consigue escapar de su prisi\u00f3n de alta seguridad. La\u00a0Marble Armada la necesita para acompa\u00f1ar sus naves como observadora y enlace, conforme se expande por la Generalidad, forzando la paz a toda costa. Las naves alien\u00edgenas no toleran resistencia alguna y todos los disidentes son eliminados con fuerza implacable. Pero su nave intercepta los mensajes de la\u00a0 House of Reclamation y decide que la\u00a0Trouble Dog tiene una capacidad para la violencia que no se puede permitir.<\/p>\n
